On my Mazda Mx5 eunos roadster or Miata in the USA.
Below is a picture of the heater hose that connects the heater matrix in the car and to the engine. I had a couple of occasions where steam appeared under the bonnet and could not see where it was coming from. As the cut in the hose increased I opened the bonnet to see water hit the exhaust and steam. I had to cut the old hose with a stanley knife as the hose pipe was stuck on. I have read on the net that oil dripping from the cam cover gasket increases contamination. This can cause the pipes to split.
The part number for number 2 hose from Mazda dealers was (B61P15185 hose, water)
new one fitted and its working ok.
